Vice Roy Hotel Takes our Street Art Workshop

Vice Roy Hotel came into the gallery to enjoy one of street art workshops. Davina Enjoys a Private Workshop at 1AM

Davina came by the gallery to enjoy a private night time workshop with our instructor Ethan. The group participated in our Graffiti workshop which includes learning how to tag and coming up with your very own tag name and also learning how to spray paint. The team got to practice on a canvas panel with pens and mops to get comfortable with their graffiti style and then they took it to our mural wall where they got to use spray paint  before painting their own mural. Winter & Ross at 1AM

Some of our favorites from Winter & Ross joined us at First Amendment for one of our exciting team building activities. Our workshops include practice tagging, a canvas board with everyones new tag on it, a graffiti history slideshow followed by learning how to spray paint and creating a mural with our workshop instructor. Peery Foundation visits 1AM!

A group from the Peery Foundation recently visited 1AM gallery for a fun workshop. The Peery Foundation's mission is strengthen youth and families to build lives of dignity and self-reliance. Atlassian Workshop

1AM SF welcomed Atlassian for a workshop this past month at our gallery. The group of Atlassian employees came together in a unique team building exercise for an unforgettable experience! The activities include a presentation about the history of street art, a lesson on how to create your own tag name, and then you get to play with spray paint on our walls and canvases. First Amendment Gallery at the Juxtapoz Clubhouse in Miami

Facebook Group Outing

First Amendment recently hosted Facebook for a team building event at our gallery. These events involve a variety of activities, beginning with a lesson about the history of graffiti. The rest of the day includes fun exercises like coming up with your own tag name, collaborating on a mural, and painting on canvas. Menlo High Enjoys a First Amendment Workshop

  First Amendment switches it up! Majority of our workshops are with companies and adults but this time we enjoyed our time with some high schoolers as they participate in one of our awesome workshops. Robbie our graffiti instructor started off the workshop with an introduction to street art as they learn about the history behind graffiti and street art and how it came to be so prominent, especially here in San Francisco. Adobe Visits 1AM

  Adobe visited First Amendment Gallery this November and teamed up with our instructors to create an awesome mural on our 6th street mural wall. Our workshops start with some practice tagging where they create their own logo or name to tag and then they transition to trying it out with real paint markers on canvas. After they get comfortable with their tag they move to spray paint so they can get ready to create their very own mural in collaboration with instructors.
