Next month, 1AM will be hosting “Becoming Lucid,” a solo exhibit showcasing surrealistic oil paintings by French street artist and graphic designer, Arthur Maslard a.k.a. Ratur. During POW! WOW! Hawaii 2014, the Kamea Hadar and Defer collaborated on a mural that marked the start of a year-long series of collaborative walls, gallery shows, and other creative projects between the two artists called “Paradise Lost”. Their new 1AM Gallery show by the same name opens this Thursday, 6:30-9:30pm, and is part of the second installment of this series along with two large-scale murals here in San Francisco. As a part of Sen2‘s show “A Declaration of Color“, he created a mural on our exterior wall over the course of two breezy afternoons which showcased his careful can control and astute color theory. The show closes TOMORROW August 1st. So stop by the gallery at 1000 Howard Street in SOMA to catch his artwork and wall up close! While Sen has been painting since the 1980s in NYC, specifically the Bronx where he still resides, his style remains fresh to this day.

Representing the different facets of their team’s responsibilities, they chose “Data”, “Local” and “In-Store” as the centerpieces of their three murals, which all turned out cleaner than any of the team could have imagined!
