“I ride real fast baby, I don’t ride slow…” is the opening line of Will Manville’s bio. His love for bicycles are shown through his courageous use of lithograph, screen print, and monotype. Every time we pass by Will’s pieces, we start singing “I want to ride my bicycle. I want to ride my bike” (“Bike Race” by Queen). Here are a couple of his pieces at 1:AM gallery for “The City” exhibit:
Will is currently a student at California College of the Arts in Oakland/San Francisco as a print making major and recently won the Yozo Hamaguchi scholarship award for print making at CCA.
If seeing these pieces didn’t make you start humming “Bicycle Race” by Queen or you are too young to even know who Queen is, listen to the song below while flipping through our flickr with Will’s art pieces and you’ll get what we are talking about.
“The City” now at 1:AM gallery through February 27th!
